Samsara

Samsara is one of Dublin’s biggest bars, a super Pub, I suppose. It’s attached to La Stampa Hotel on Dawson Street in Dublin and is quite central, at the top of the street is Stephens green and around the corner is Grafton Street.

Just inside the door is a seated area with tables, comfortable chairs and a nice big window looking out onto the Mansion House (home of Dublin’s Lord Mayor). The bar area is huge, always packed to capacity at the Weekend and busy enough during the week. The decor is Moroccan and the place has an exotic vibe. It’s very trendy, so if you are all dressed up, then it’s the place to go.

Tonight, I’m here for a few drinks before going on to Town Bar & Grill for a meal. The place is pleasantly busy and a whole bunch of people are having great fun doing the Cha Cha; a regular Wednesday night event at Samsara. I’d nearly give it a go myself, much more fun than the gym.

My only slight complaint is the length of time it takes to get a drink in at the Bar.

All in all, nice people, great fun, a lot going on, very lively and trendy.
