Cycle for Sophie – Saturday 22nd July 2023

22nd July 2023, at 9:00am, an incredible community event in support of Sophie’s Journey – a brave young girl’s fight against the odds. Let’s rally together and make a difference! Location: Lucan Village Green

Sophie Lanigan, a kind, courageous, and beautiful 12-year-old, has faced life-altering challenges after a battle with sepsis that resulted in the loss of all four of her limbs. Her story has touched the hearts of many, including Kenny’s, Stagg Cycles, and Lucan Road Cycle Club, who have joined forces to organise the cycle with Sophie as the honoured beneficiary.

This event is about coming together as a community and showing our support for Sophie and her family. By participating, you’ll be making a positive impact on her journey to recovery and adaptation. Let’s show Sophie that she’s not alone!

There are two Route Options: Whether you’re a regular or amateur cyclist, there’s a suitable route for everyone. Choose between the 40km and 80km rides and experience the joy of cycling for a great cause.

After the cycling, join us at Kenny’s for a sizzling BBQ and live music to celebrate the spirit of community and the generosity of our participants. It’s a chance to unwind, connect with fellow supporters, and make lasting memories.
