The Chester Beatty Library Minimize

Arts of the Book, a new permanent exhibition of the Library's collections, opens in the first floor gallery in May 2008.  Here, visitors will view books from the ancient world including the world famous Chester Beatty Love Poems (c.1160 BC), Egyptian Books of the Dead and beautifully illuminated medieval European manuscripts and fine European printed books, as well as Old Master prints. read more ....

  
Free Movies on the Square Minimize

During July & August, compliments of Temple Bar Properties and Jamieson, there are free movies at Meeting House Square, Temple Bar. All Jameson Movies on the Square events are FREE TICKETED events. Tickets can be collected in person from the Temple Bar Cultural Information Centre at 12 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

Mon-Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Saturday 10am- 6pm
Sunday 12noon -3 pm

Alternatively you can send a SAE with a to Jameson Movies on the Square Tickets c/o Temple Bar Cultural Trust, 12 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 clearly stating the specific event for which you would like tickets, for receipt no longer than two weeks before the event. Please ensure to include a photocopy of your ID.

Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability. Latecomers are admitted onto Meeting House Square at the discretion of the management. Natural light factor may mean films cannot always start on time.  Events are sometimes subject to change. Please check press for confirmation of event and start time.
Events are not cancelled unless persistent, heavy rain occurs – so come prepared!

Contrary to popular belief it is possible to enjoy our capital city without spending a fortune and in fact some of the best things to see and do in Dublin are free. Here are my some of my favourite things to do in Dublin city:
